I add my voice to those who have already expressed remorse over the Super Bowl half-time show last Sunday. As I watched, my heart sank in sadness and disgust. Is this America? What have we done to ourselves, and does anyone care?
This frenzied, over-stimulating, sexually graphic display was not only morally degrading, but excellent bait for future terrorism.
Since the Super Bowl is an all-American event, the entertainment within it should also be for all Americans. Instead, we were deceptively slipped a dark, arrogant visual orgy.
Is there not an overriding voice of reason and common decency in our freedom of expression?
Lastly, a word of praise for the fine performances of Josh Grobin and Beyonce Knowles. They gave us the kind of excellent American entertainment we can be proud of.
