Good job to cross-country skiers in their meet Saturday. Maya Johnson placed third, Anders Nyquist placed first, Molly Watkins placed fifth and Kristi Louthan placed seventh. For the sixth-grade race, James Watkins placed first and Shawna Lukassen placed second.

There is a dance Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for $3 admission for seventh- and eighth-graders only.

The student council will sell val-a-grams during lunchtime for 50 cents.

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books team for taking fist place. The students are Maya Johnson, Vanessa Dukowitz, Molly Watkins, Devon Cowan and Kirsten Lawrence. They will go on to compete at the state level.

Dates to remember:

Thursday: Conferences from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.;

Friday: Conferences from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.;

Tuesday: Volleyball at Soldotna Middle School;

Feb. 16 : Chamber Student of the Month, Christina Fischer, luncheon; and

Feb. 17: Site Council in the library at 5:30 p.m.
