This month the children will study South America. This week the children have been making masks and costumes in preparation for Thursday's celebration of South America's Carnival. Senora Whitmore, a native of Venezuela, will teach the children about this South American tradition and help the students with their masks and costumes they will wear during the party to be held at school Thursday afternoon.

Last week the children went on a field trip to see Sharon Katz and The Peace Train. Parents can see photos and read more about this on the field trip page on the school's Web site. Mike Morgan will only visit the school Friday and Feb. 18.
