The central Kenai Peninsula features golf at affordable prices in a setting that showcases views of mountain ranges and local wildlife.
The central peninsula features three nine-hole golf courses and one 18-hole golf course. The four golf courses on the central peninsula are the Birch Ridge Golf Course, the Kenai Golf Course, the Cottonwood Country Club and the Bird Homestead Golf Course. Each course can have tournaments throughout the summer so call ahead for a tee time.
For those not interested in traditional golf, the Kenai Eagle Disc Golf Course is located in Kenai’s East End Park. The course has nine par-3 holes ranging from 150 to 300 feet. It is best accessed from the entrance to East End Park on Tinker Lane. It is free to play the course.
Birch Ridge Golf Course
The Birch Ridge Golf Course and driving range is on the Sterling Highway just east of Soldotna and offers a full range of amenities, including rental cottages, on its nine-hole layout.
Greens fees, including tax, at Birch Ridge are tentatively as follows: Adults $14.70 for nine holes and $25.20 for 18 holes on weekdays, $15.75 for nine holes and $27.30 for 18 holes on weekends and holidays. There will be a discount for seniors and youth.

Kenai Golf Course
The Kenai Golf Course, on Lawton Drive in Kenai adjacent to Coral Seymour Memorial Park, features an 18-hole layout and driving range.
The greens fees are: Adults $12 for nine holes and $20 for 18 holes on weekdays, $14 for nine holes and $24 for 18 holes on weekends. There also is a discount for seniors and youth. For more information on the Kenai Golf Course, call 283-7500.
Bird Homestead Golf Course
The Bird Homestead Golf Course is located at Mile 11.8 of Funny River Road. The course features a pro shop and a unique driving range. Golfers hit floatable balls into a pond. The balls then blow to shore for collection.
The price is $12 for nine holes and $20 for 18 holes, with discounts available for youth and seniors. Contact the course at 260-4653.
Cottonwood Country Club
The Cottonwood Country Club is a nine-hole, par-3 golf course with a driving range and an adjacent RV park located at Mile 31.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway. At Mile 31.5, signs will lead the golfer to the pro shop.
