The Soldotna Elks Scholarship Committee has completed the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student judging for the Soldotna Elks area.

The committee was extremely im-pressed with the 12 outstanding students who put forth applications. The committee will be forwarding one boy and three girls onto the state level: Aleksandr Pfaffe, Kelsey Shields, Rachel Osterman and Kacia Dimick.

At the local level, the Soldotna Elks Lodge will reward our area students with the following scholarships: Kelsey Shields, $1,000; Rachel Osterman, $1,000; Kacia Dimick, $1,000; Aleksandr Pfaffe, $1,000; Keegan Birchfield, $500; and Rebecca Kilfoyle, $500.

We truly have outstanding students within the Greater Soldotna Elks region. All 12 students are deserving of this recognition and have extremely bright futures.

Congratulations to all of the above students.
