Prime rib dinner fund-raiser set to go

The Nikiski Citizens Senior Center will host a prime rib dinner fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday at the center. The cost is $15 per person, only 60 tickets will be sold. For more information, call 776-7654.

Baha’i to show film

The Baha’i of Soldotna are showing a film about the Bahi gardens in Haifa, Israel at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Froso’s Restaurant in Soldotna. Dinner will be available. The cost is $12. For more information, call Jeanie 262-1626.

Historical Society to meet

The Kenai Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday downstairs at the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant. Al Hershberger will give a slide show presentation of his photos dating back to 1948. It is open to the public.

Community wildfire planning meetings set

Meetings about the Community Wildfire Protection plan will be held at the following locations and times: 5:30 p.m. Monday at Nikiski Fire Department Station No. 2 in Nikiski and 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Homer City Council Chambers.

Social Security reps to visit area

Social Security Administration representatives will be on the Kenai Peninsula from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Seward City Hall; from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Homer Senior Citizens Center.
