ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Cordova man was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct Thursday after parachuting off a 500-foot tower in Tok.
State troopers said they received a call that a man had parachuted off a Coast Guard station tower five miles east of Tok on the Alaska Highway.
Troopers said Miles Daisher, 31, ignored ''no trespassing'' and high voltage signs, crawled under a chain link fence at the base of the tower, climbed to the 500-foot level and jumped.
Daisher was not injured in the jump.
Tallentyre Fletcher, 25, Cordova, also was charged with criminal trespass.
The tower is a LORAN facility, which stands for long-range aids to navigation.
