The High School Graduation Qualifying Exam will be administered Tuesday through Feb. 19. All sophomores are required to attend. Juniors and seniors who have not passed one or more tests or who are new to Alaska are required to take the test. The test is given twice a year and cannot be made up. The writing section will be offered Tuesday; the math section, Feb. 18; and the reading portion, Feb. 19.
Standardized testing for seventh- through ninth-graders also will be Tuesday through Feb. 19. Parents are asked to make sure their children are well rested and in attendance on these days.
Parents of seniors will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 4 in the library to discuss the after-graduation party.
A representative from the University of Idaho will be available to meet with students from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday. Parents are welcome.

The hockey team will travel to Wasilla today to compete in the state tournament.
The PTSA will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the library.
The C basketball team will play at 3 p.m. Thursday at Cook Inlet Academy.
The girls' and boys' basketball teams will host Kenai starting at 3 p.m. Friday and will travel to Seward on Saturday.
The middle school volleyball team will play at Chapman at 11 a.m. Saturday, and the middle school wrestlers will host Seward on Saturday.
