I was reading the online edition article about KCHS seniors wanting to graduate in the auditorium, etc. As a graduate of the 1988 class, I wanted to clarify this statement:
"Ward also pointed out that past graduations at the auditorium have accommodated graduating classes as large as 136 in 1988."
The class of 1988 did not use the auditorium. We graduated in the gymnasium. I have seen a variety of classes use the auditorium, and while it can be difficult to keep your guests to under eight seats as would be required, it's a small price to pay for those who want to graduate at their school. And you can always use the gym! We did, it was not anything less then we hoped it would be because of it. Having a big-screen TV option was something we didn't have, and would have loved to be able to. But we did what was necessary in order to graduate on our own school grounds, just like millions of classes nationwide do every spring.
Proud KCHS graduate, class of '88
