Support helps family get back on its feet

I was injured in an at-work accident with a pretty serious injury and lost my career, my wife and I have six children. We had lost our healthy style of living our home everything, and I had fallen deep into addiction, due to some poor choices I had made.

Today with all the help from Kenaitze Indian Tribe and some pretty special people and a bit of hard work on my part, I am no longer in that life of addiction and I am quite successful and proud of it. My wife and I appretiated the help with the services that are in place such as help with school lunches. There are better ways to solve the abuse of these services than contacting childrens services; thanks to Nakenu Family Center and all the professionals there I am cruising in the right direction. Our children never went without food. We had all these children because I was years ago financially stable enough to be able to afford those 2-plus dollars a lunch per child, times six, which is roughly 15 dollars a day, or $450.00 a month.

We are thankful to those services that were there when we really needed them and maybe we can work together and stop these challenged people that make it hard for a family that really appreciated those services and that has moved on to a better life. Thank you again Kenaitze for all your support!
