Troopers confiscate guns from servicemen

FAIRBANKS (AP) -- Alaska State Troopers seized several handguns from a group of Eielson Air Force Base servicemen after their car was pulled over on the Richardson Highway.

Troopers stopped the sport utility vehicle Sunday at Mile 345 of the highway. The occupants are suspected of being involved in a shooting at Fort Wainwright. No details were released about the shooting.

Braheen R. Hargrove, 24, Rolando A. Decker, Jr., 26, Jamar K. Jones, 23, and Brandon D. Hawkins, 23, were charged with misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree. Hargrove also was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated. Troopers said all the servicemen appeared to have been drinking.
