Kenai council's support for arts organization, center appreciated

I would like to thank the city of Kenai for its resolution in support of the Kenai River Council on the Arts (KRCA). Resolution No. 2002 "enthusiastically supports the Kenai River Council on the Arts in its efforts to promote the arts through education, exhibition and performance, enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of the Central Kenai Peninsula" and in their efforts "in finding a suitable facility" for a center for the arts on the Kenai Peninsula.

Kenai River Council on the Arts, formerly Kenai Arts and Humanities Council, is actively researching sites for new construction or renovation of existing buildings which may be developed into a world-class center for arts education, performance and commerce. The support of the city of Kenai is vitally important

to the success of KRCA's mission, and we truly thank the city council for its support.

KRCA is also developing a directory of Kenai Peninsula artists and arts organizations with the assistance of the Kenai Convention and Visitors Bureau and thanks the bureau for its assistance as well. The directory will be available on line through the bureau's Web site at in the near future.
