Social Security reps to visit area

Social Security Administration representatives will be on the Kenai Peninsula from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Seward City Hall; from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Homer Senior Citizens Center. Senior housing committee to meet

The Senior Housing Design Committee will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Nikiski Senior Citizens Center. The topic will be the desired design features of the new senior housing project. It is open to the public. For more information, call 776-7654.

Byway corridor workshops set

The north and south Sterling Highway byway public workshops will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cooper Landing Community Hall; from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Homer City Hall Council Chambers; and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Anchor River Inn. The purpose of the planning workshops are for coordinating discussions of goals, objectives and priorities for tourism planning along the byways. A draft corridor plan also will be available. Nikiski seniors board meeting planned

The Nikiski Senior Citizens Inc. will hold a board meeting after lunch Wednesday at the senior center on Island Lake Road. The topics will be the senior shore road project, renewal of project manager contract and the subdivision of senior shore property. For more information, call 776-7654.
