A fire destroyed a home Tuesday afternoon off Mile 16 of Funny River Road.
The home, belonging to Susan West and Roland Braden, was completely leveled by the time the Central Emergency Services ambulance arrived. The home was outside the CES fire service area.
The fire was first reported at 12:27 p.m. on Ansel Road.
"The house was fully involved," said CES Shift Capt. Jim Dunn, who responded to the scene as a medic. "There was nothing anyone could have done."
Dunn also added that it was not known what caused the fire. No one was injured.
"There will be no investigation because this area is not covered by fire service," he said.
Fire trucks do not respond to structure fires that outside the fire service area. However, ambulances do respond in case there are any injuries.
The Funny River area recently obtained a grant to build a volunteer fire department.
