SoHi cheerleaders hold fund-raiser

The Soldotna High School cheerleaders will hold a parents' night out from 6 to 11 today at the Peninsula Christian Center. Activities will include dinner, a late-night snack, arts and crafts, movies and games for children ages 4 and older. The cost is $20 for the first child and $10 for every additional child. Basketball teams to hold fund-raiser

The Ninilchik High School basketball teams are selling raffle tickets to earn money. The drawings will be held Saturday. You do not need to be present to win. Prizes available are a seafood package, valentine's package, afghan-blanket package and a mother-of-pearl globe valued at $350. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. Genealogical society to meet

Kenai Totem Tracers Genealogical Society will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kenai Community Library. Kari Mohn will be available to help beginners get started. There is no fee. For more information, call Kari Mohn at 283-4258.

Women's group plans brunch

The Peninsula Take A Break will hold brunch from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Solid Rock Conference Center. Dan Sexton will discuss his gemstone hobby; composer Glenda Elliot will provide musical entertainment; and Anita Bacon will speak. The cost is $7 for brunch and free child care is provided. SPCA to hold fund-raiser

The SPCA of the Kenai Peninsula will hold a spaghetti feed and auction fund-raiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Riverside House in Soldotna. The cost is $15 per person. Children 6 and under will be admitted for free. For more information or to purchase a ticket, call 262-8550.

Dance classes offered

The Boys and Girls Club in Kenai is taking registration for two music and movement classes, one ballet class and one jazz class. Classes will meet Saturdays beginning March 6. The cost is $50 per class, per participant, plus membership in the Boys and Girls Club. Scholarship applications are available upon request.
