Area nonprofit honored
Relay For Life of the Kenai Peninsula recently received recognition from the American Cancer Society for ranking second with in the society's 12 state Great West Division for dollars raised per capita for communities of 50,000 to 59,999 people, bringing in $61,010 to support cancer research, education, advocacy and patient service programs.
Relay For Life of the Kenai Peninsula will hold its next meeting at 6 p.m. Feb. 28 at Kaladi Brothers in Soldotna. It is open to the public.
