On behalf of Central Peninsula Girl Scouts, I would like to thank each and every business and person who worked together to help make our Nikiski Girl Scouts Winter Fun Day (Jan. 20) on Daniel’s Lake a huge success.
Thanks to Trustworthy Hardware, the dog mushers and their teams and Kenai National Wildlife Refuge for donating your equipment, skills and time to teach Girl Scouts how to ice fish, dog sled, ice skate, snowshoe, learn cold weather survival skills and the campfire foil pack lunch and hot cocoa.
Thanks to the Danielsons for hosting this fantastic event, the Hallidays for all food stuffs, the Easleys, the Huffords, Max and Carolyn Lopez, Ann Siversten, Jodie Titus (our Nikiski “Girl Scout leader extraordinaire”) and last, but not least, to all the parents who attended with their Girl Scouts. Thanks for taking the time and investing in Girls’ futures.
Girl Scouts are helping build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
