A man charged with four counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor will be facing a jury trial come May.

Cleland Troy Trickel, 44, was arraigned in court Monday, and an omnibus hearing is set for April in the case. Trickel, who was a captain serving with The Salvation Army in Kenai, was arrested by Kenai police Feb. 1.

According to a police investigation, Trickel had been engaged in sexual conduct with three female juvenile victims, ages 11 to 14, who were members of his congregation between September 1998 and August 1999.

Trickel was released from Wildwood Pretrial Facility to a third-party custodian Monday on an unsecured $20,000 bond.
