Kathryn Marie Dent died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, in her home in Montrose, Colo. She was 45.
A memorial service will be held at 3 .m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. Sister Joyce will officiate.
Mrs. Dent was born April 7, 1958, in National City, Calif., the third daughter born to Billie and Roxie (Galle) Zeober. She was educated in Saint Patrick's parochial school in Lemon Grove, Calif.
Mrs. Dent moved from Chula Vista, Calif., to Alaska, living in Anchorage, Wasilla and Kenai. She relocated to Fruita, Colo, in 1987. She has been a resident of the Montrose and Grand Junction, Colo., area for the last several years.
She was a licensed paralegal, of which she was very proud. She enjoyed skiing and reading everything from Shakespeare to James Patterson. Mrs. Dent made shadow boxes containing antiques for family and friends. She wrote short stories for newspapers and poems for her family and friends. She also loved animals, especially cats.
Mrs. Dent was preceded in death by a brother, Victor R. Hogge.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Starlynn and Larry Brown of Oregon; son, Eric Lisky of Utah; grandson, Isaiah Brown of Oregon; father and stepmother, Billie and Virginia Zeober of California; mother and stepfather Roxie and Les Little of Sterling; sisters and their husbands, April and Allen Weinrick of Wasilla and Cheryl and John Bemowski of Kenai; half-sister and her husband, Bridgette and Dan Hogge of Kenai; half-brother and his wife, Joe and Gwen Hogge of Nikiski; half- brother, Darris A. Cress Jr. of Sterling; grandfather, Henry R. Galle of Sterling; aunt and uncle, Debra Harms and Ron Weise of Billings, Mont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
