West Valley ends season of Wasilla

West Valley outshot Wasilla 46-18, and the Wolfpack scored three goals in the third period to put the consolation bracket game away Friday at the Soldotna Sports Center.

Chris Campanella scored three goals for the Wolfpack and added an assist while goalie Erik Largen recorded the shutout.

Ronnie Walker made 41 saves for Wasilla.

Service 3, Dimond 0

The defending state champions earned a return trip to the tournament final with a win over last year's runner-up.

Blake Martin put the Cougars on the board in the second period, and Evan Trupp and Winston Feyereisen scored third-period goals to ice the win.

Drew O'Connell recorded 15 saves for the shutout.

West 4, Chugiak 2

The Eagles upset the Mustangs for a trip to the tournament championship game.

West was able to convert on a pair of power plays late in the third period. Geoff Mies netted the go-ahead goal with 3:53 left in the game, and Todd Graham completed his hat trick 49 seconds later to give the Eagles a two-goal cushion.

Shane Wheeler and Danny Ghan scored second-period goals for the Mustangs.
