The North Peninsula Recreation Service Area is offering an adult coed dodge ball league. Players must be at least 17-years-old to be eligible to play. League nights will be held on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Nikiski Community Recreation Center beginning today. The cost is $20 per person.

The Nikiski Senior Citizens Center will have its Sweetheart Banquet and prime rib dinner and dance Saturday. The entertainment will be the Dixieland Jazz Band. Tickets are $15 per person. For more information, call the center at 776-7654.

Congratulations to Elena Bird of Nikiski in her achievement in winning the Alaska Junior Miss competition. Parents, Bob and Rosemary and brothers, Mario and Quincy along with the Nikiski community wish her the best when she goes to Mobile, Ala. in June to take part in the America Junior Miss National finals.
The Interagency Council meeting will be held Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Kenai Public Health Center.
