Alaska State Troopers investigate North Pole homicide

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Alaska State Troopers are investigating the murder of a man found dead Tuesday night in North Pole.

Troopers were called to the scene shortly before 7:30 p.m. when a man was reported lying in the road on Eastern Avenue. The name of the victim was not being released, pending notification of family members, troopers said.

The man had apparently been shoot in the throat. Troopers said Wednesday that suspects have been identified and the investigation is continuing.
