KENAI (AP) -- A Salvation Army captain has been charged with four counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor will be facing a jury trial in May.

Cleland Troy Trickel, 44, was arraigned Monday, and an omnibus hearing is set for April in the case. Trickel, who was a captain serving with the Salvation Army in Kenai, was arrested by Kenai police Feb. 1.

Trickel is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with three female juvenile victims. The victims were 11 to 14 years old, and were members of his congregation between September 1998 and August 1999, according to police.

Trickel was released from Wildwood Pretrial Facility to a third-party custodian Monday on an unsecured $20,000 bond.
