Former Kenai resident Lyndsey Kvasnikoff died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at her home in Kirkland, Wash. She was 18.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Peninsula Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Earl Moore will officiated at the service.
Lyndsey was born Aug. 29, 1985, in Soldotna. She moved from Kenai to Kirkland in 2003.
She enjoyed sewing, writing, singing, all outdoor activities, animals, her pets and music.
"Lyndsey will be remembered for her infectious laugh and bright smile. Her smile would light up the room when she entered. She had a heart of gold and always put everyone ahead of herself. She had the ability to accept people as they were and loved everyone for being themselves. She touched a lot of lives in a positive way without even knowing. May her soul rest in peace for all of eternity," her family said.
Lyndsey is survived by her mother and father, Terrie and Monty Owens of Kenai; paternal father, Kellie Kvasnikoff of Kirkland, Wash.; brothers, Ryan Owens of California, James Kvasnikoff of Albany, Ore., and Alex "Sasha" Kvasnikoff of Kirkland, Wash.; sister, Brighton Bates of Soldotna; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Verda Malatesta Sr. of Clam Gulch; paternal grandparents, Dean and Lynda Kvasnikoff of Ninilchik; grandparents, Calvin and Sheila Owens of North Carolina; uncles and aunts, Joseph and Katy Malatesta Jr. and Sonny and LaDeanna Haynes all of Soldotna; uncles, Todd Owens of Washington and Matt Owens of California; aunt, Chesley (Owens) Pinkerton of North Carolina; great-uncle and aunt, Dan and Maria DeSantis of Florida; and numerous other great- uncles, aunts and cousins.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
