Robert C. Dedrick, Sr.
Kenai resident Robert C. Dedrick Sr. died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage following a brief illness. He was 49.
A celebration of his life will be held in June.
Mr. Dedrick was born Dec. 18, 1957, in Ithaca, N.Y., to James and Anita Dedrick. He chose Alaska as his home.
“Bob enjoyed going to Twin Cities Raceway, fishing, hunting, playing guitar and giant barbecues with family and friends in the back yard. Bob was the type of man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He took friendships seriously. If you were a friend you were family. Bob was loved by all that knew him and will be truly missed,” his family said.
Mr. Dedrick was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Donny Dedrick.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa; sons, Norman and RC of Kenai; mother, Anita Dedrick and her companion, Ron Anderson of Kenai; sister, Becky and her husband, Rick Hubby of Kenai; brothers, Gary and his wife, Carol of Oregon, Jim and his wife, Lindy of Oregon, Keith and his wife, Sue of Wasilla, Dale and his wife, Pat of Massachusetts, John Montgomery and his wife, Roxy of Anchorage, Ken Velotta and his wife, Dana, of Nikiski, Paul Lamereau of Anchorage and Tom Bush of Big Lake; nieces and nephews, Adrian, Kelly, Andy, Shaun, Travis, Chris, Jesse, Tyler, Bucky, Jeremy, Ryan, David and Morgan; and grandson, Trenton Dedrick.
Arrangements were made by Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Anchorage.
