Kenai resident Corene Ross died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Central
Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna. She was 69.
A memorial service will be held in Denver, Colo., at a later date.
Ms. Ross was born on September 18, 1932, in Big Cabin, Okla. She lived most of her life in Denver, until July of 2001, when she moved to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Judene and Glenn Van Cleave in Nikiski.
"She loved the time she spent in Alaska. She was constantly amazed at the wildlife and how calm and peaceful it was. Now she is in the gardens of Heaven with her twin sister, Claudene," her family said.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Judene and Glenn Van Cleave of Nikiski, Jonette Van Cleave, Janell and Greg Hopkins, and Jodi Rohleder, of Denver; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
