Women's club luncheon is today

Donna Embree of Palmer will be the guest speaker at the Kenai-Soldotna Christian Women's Club luncheon today at the Old Town Village Restaurant in Kenai. The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Gary Harris of Regal Interiors also will share how to pick the right cabinets and laminates for homes, and Janine Espy will sing.

The luncheon is open to all women. Cost is $10. Free child care is available.

Family History Fireside planned

There will be an adult Family History Fireside on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 159 Marydale Ave. in Soldotna.

There will be guest speakers, displays and tours of the Family History Center. The fireside is open to everyone 18 and older. For more information, call 262-2683.

Senior banquet scheduled Feb. 26

The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ Church in Soldotna will host the 10th annual Senior Sweetheart Banquet Feb. 26.

Seniors from the Kenai-Soldotna area, Homer and Seward are invited to spend the evening at the Fellowship Hall, which will include music, door prizes, photos and awards.

Benefit concert slated in Anchorage

Unity Medicine and the Baha'i of Soldotna will host a benefit concert for the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage on Feb. 26 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the center.
