ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Alaska State Troopers and local police served two search warrants on the Kenai Peninsula on Friday and seized 146 marijuana plants.
Troopers said they contacted a 49-year-old man at his home in Nikiski, served a search warrant and seized 25 mature marijuana plants in a commercial grow operation. Troopers said they ranged from 6-8 feet in height.
After obtaining a second search warrant for a Soldotna home maintained by the same man, troopers seized 121 more plants and growing equipment.
Troopers said criminal charges were referred to the Kenai district attorney's office.
