Students in grades three through six will take Terra Nova and Alaska Benchmark assessment exams through Friday. Students can do their best when they have had plenty of sleep, good nutrition and arrive at school on time.
Area businesses can support the school by sponsoring a page in the yearbook for a suggested donation of $20. Relatives and friends can dedicate a personal message for $10. Contact Ms. Haddix for more information.
The Redoubt student body is offering a $500 scholarship to area graduating high school seniors. Complete information may be obtained at the Soldotna High and Skyview High counselors' offices and the Redoubt Elementary office.

The fifth- and sixth-grade Battle of the Books team, Hannah Romberg, Nicole Simmons, Brittania Wilson, Alexandria Wilson and assistants Emily Gomulak and Katrina Truesdell, placed second in the district. The third- and fourth-grade team members were Kristen Nagle, Courtney Lewis, Kylee Woodford, Madeline Fox and assistants Erica Hoyt and Claire Gabler. Title I will host a kindergarten parent informational meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. Feb. 26. Information on the reading backpack program, how to help kindergartners develop good reading skills, and an introduction to the Parent to Parent program will be presented. All Redoubt kindergarten parents are invited to attend. Snacks and child care will be available.
