Testing has been the word of the week. The students are taking Alaska Benchmark and other standardized tests. It has been a challenging week, but they still have had fun.

In Christlight this week, students are studying the story of God teaching Gideon.

The children in first through sixth grade are studying Alaska's geography and history. Last week Elisabeth Habermann, a dog sled runner, came to school and spent some time with the children showing what running dog sleds was all about. Thanks Elisabeth.

In seventh- and eighth-grade science, the children are diving into Newton's laws of motions.

The fourth- through sixth-graders are studying the different Native Alaska cultures.

In art class, the fifth- through eighth-graders are going to begin a unit on Greek art and architecture.
