Wings Christian Academy

Ali Thompson and Naomi Pettey educated the Upper Learning Center last Friday afternoon in the second part of a report trilogy. They have been acting out and describing the origins of various nursery rhymes.

The student council has planned various spirit days for the next three weeks to add a little fun and spirit to the school. It started this past Tuesday with Nerd Day. Other spirit days include Twin Day, Men-In-Black Day, G.I. Joe Day and Dress Up Day.

The high school basketball teams will travel to Anchorage this weekend for games. On Friday, the teams will play against the Valley Crusaders. The girls start at 7 p.m., and the boys' game will begin at 9 p.m. On Saturday at noon, the boys' team will play Holy Rosary.

Lindsay Thompson and Timothy Holt were awarded for having the cleanest desks.

Naomi Pettey has recently entered the 4,000s club. Kassidy Foust made it to the 3,000s club. Brandon Saunders achieved 2,000s club status, while Timothy Holt entered the 1,000s club.

Amy and Elizabeth Wood finished Alaska state history, each earning one half high school credit.

Happy birthday to Kelsey Jose and Kade Foust. Kelsey turned 11 last Friday, and Kade will turn 10 on Friday.
