BETHEL (AP) -- The president and chief executive officer of the Kuskokwim Corp. has resigned after 10 years.
Michael Harper resigned under good terms on Feb. 2, according to a statement released by the corporation.
''After 10 years in this position, I grow restless for a change and new challenges in my career,'' Harper wrote in a statement.
Shareholder Maver Carey is filling in as president of the Native village corporation until the board of directors decides how to permanently fill the position. She will be the interim manager for the next six months.
The corporation has about 3,000 shareholders and owns a little more than a million acres of land. The company also is involved in real estate and has apartments in Fairbanks.
