Perry and Bonnie (Moore) Hawkins of Soldotna will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Wednesday, March 1, 2006, in Illinois. The couple was married March 1, 1956.

The couple has lived in the Soldotna-Kenai area since 1976 when they moved their family here from Albuquerque, N.M. They raised four children here, Betsy, Jim, Marty and Beverly. Perry worked as a truck driver and Bonnie worked as a bartender. Both are now retired.

A surprise party for the couple will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 4 at the Soldotna Elks Lodge. Friends are welcome to attend.

Forms for engagements and weddings are available at the Clarion’s Kenai office. Color or black and white pictures also may be submitted. Photos with an address written on the back will be returned.

Weddings must be submitted within six months to be printed.
