Fish and Game Committee to discuss hunting

The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 7 tonight at the Kenai River Center on Funny River Road. Hunting issues will be discussed. For more information, call the committee at 262-4763.

Kenai chamber luncheon today

Disabled American Veterans to meet

Disabled American Veterans will hold its monthly meeting 6 p.m. Thursday at the Kenai National Guard Armory. For more information, call 283-4359.

Sterling Community Club to meet Thursday

The Sterling Community Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the log cabin on the corner of the Sterling Highway and Swanson River Road. Topics to be discussed will include Winter Fun Day, summer work for the hockey rink and tennis court, and the ZipMart test wells. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate.

Boys and Girls Club plans reading celebration

The Boys and Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula will hold its annual Read Across America Celebration from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Friday at the Kenai Clubhouse, located at 11247 Frontage Road in Kenai. A variety of centers and workshops will promote the love of reading and literacy. Pizza and juice will be served for dinner, and door prizes will be given. The event is free to the public. CIAA board to hold 25th annual meeting

Health fair scheduled for March 2

The seventh annual Village Fair-Health Fair will be held March 2 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Soldotna High School This year's events include a variety of health screenings, a blood drive, a Safe Kids water safety event, a prescription drug interactions booth, Alaska landscape architecture booth, water test kits and more.
