Worship leader to speak

Kansas City head worship leader Chris Dupre will speak at the Kalifonsky Christian Center at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Dupre, who has served with Metro Christian Fellowships for 10 years, will be stepping down to dedicate more time to Kansas City's International House of Prayer and to travel to conferences around the country. Shrove Tuesday supper slated

St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church will sponsor a Shrove Tuesday pancake supper on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church, 110 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.

Tickets, which cost $3, are available from church members and will be available at the door. All are welcome. For more information, call 776-5513 or 776-5688.

Lenten breakfasts announced

Lenten breakfasts are being planned for Saturdays during Lent, Feb. 28 to April 3. The buffet breakfasts will be from 8 to 9 a.m. at Paradisos in Kenai. The theme of the breakfasts is "Witnessing for Christ."

The schedule is as follows:

On Feb. 28, Habitat for Humanity, Love INC and The Salvation Army will be featured.

On March 6, Nikiski Neighbors, Sa-maritans, the Breakfast Program and World Changers will be featured.

On March 13, Alaska Christian College and Bridges will be featured.

On March 20, the Elementary School Breakfast Program and Kenai Alternative High School Breakfast Program will be featured.

On March 27, the senior citizen centers' feeding programs, the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, Kenai Interfaith Shelter Services and Relief Offered by Congregations on the Kenai will be featured.

On April 3, several theologically diverse lay presenters will address the mutual concern of upholding each other in the love of Christ and reaching out to the community together.

Breakfasts cost $6 per person and reservations should be made by calling 283-7868.

Easter program practice held

Practice for the Soldotna Church of God community Easter program continues through March at the church, on the corner of Binkley Street and Redoubt Avenue.

Nikiski women hold Bible study

Nikiski Women's Aglow has begun a Beth Moore Bible Study, "Breaking Free," on Wednesdays beginning at 9:30 am. Nikiski Aglow meets at North Star Methodist Church in Nikiski.

People who have started this study and would like to complete it are asked to contact Bev Berdahl at 776-8022 for more information. Babysitting will be provided if needed.

Religious art sought

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Kenai United Methodist Church of the New Covenant is seeking submissions for its Exhibition of Religious Art, April 1 to May 1.

Art work from all media may be submitted to Jim Evenson at the church, 607 Frontage Road, by March 27.

Clothes2Go open

The Inlet Faith formerly Aurora Heights Assembly of God Clothes2Go is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and from 2 to 6 p.m. Fridays to meet people's clothing needs.

Clothes2Go is at the church on the corner of McGahan and Marie avenues, near Mile 27 of the Kenai Spur Highway in Nikiski. For more information, call 776-8723.
