Kenai resident Jared Dale Hein died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. He was 26.
A celebration of Mr. Hein's life will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25 at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai. Pastor Tony Cloud will officiate. A gathering will immediately follow the services at the Kenai Beach.
Mr. Hein was born Oct. 3, 1981 in Ketchikan. He moved to Brookings, Ore., where he resided until moving to Kenai in 2000.
Mr. Hein loved to be outside. He enjoyed fishing, camping, 4x4s, hiking, snowmachining and four-wheelers and he had a love for cards and trucks. Mr. Hein also enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
"He will be deeply missed," wrote his family.
He is survived by his mother, Eva Hein; sister, Marisa Chaney; brother, Pattrick Sumner; uncle, Darrel Hein; aunts, Lisa, Debbie, and Helen; girlfriend, Desiree DeLeon; daughter, Makayla Hein; and son, Jessiah James; and by so many people he had touched.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
