ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An Anchorage man was arrested Monday night and charged with aiming a shotgun at the head of a magazine salesman who came to his door.
Police said Steven Kidwell, 32, was charged with two counts of assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, misconduct involving a weapon and driving while intoxicated.
Police said Kidwell argued with a 22-year-old man selling magazines at his apartment door. The salesman left and knocked on another door in the apartment complex.
While the salesman was talking to another resident, police said, Kidwell approached him, chambered a round in a shotgun and aimed it at the man's head.
The salesman ran to his car, called police, and then saw Kidwell drive away.
Police found Kidwell's car 15 minutes later and arrested him. They said he was legally drunk.
