Palmer resident Lois Larane Briggs, a longtime Alaska resident, died unexpectedly at her residence in Palmer on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. She was 58.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave. in Wasilla. Officiating will be Pastor Peter Gallardo of the Family Christian Center, Palmer. Flowers are welcomed at the service.
Ms. Briggs was born August 23, 1951 to Richard F. and Carol Jean (Lynch) Briggs, in Boise, Idaho.
Ms. Briggs had worked as a CNA until she became disabled. Her hobbies included quilting, ceramics, fishing, camping and gardening. She was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Ms. Briggs was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and daughter Jackie.
Ms. Briggs is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Batina Jeanne Neuser-Crocker and Michael Crocker, daughter Trisha Neuser, son and daughter-in-law Ronnie L. II and Shannon Wieber, of Wasilla; daughter Daina Flood of Kentucky; grandchildren, Angel and Tianna of Anchorage, Jessie, Cody, Justin, Jaqulynn, Breanna and Shantell of Wasilla; Heather of Eagle River; Savannah and Raven of Kentucky; great-grandchildren Camren of Anchorage, Julian and Max of Wasilla; significant other "Jimmy" Charles Marsh of Palmer; father Gail White Sr. of Nikiski; brother Richard Briggs and sister Lola Rozell, both of Washington, sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Terry Landaal of Wasilla, Patty and Bob Day of Nikiski, brother and sister-in-law Gail Jr. and Rhonda White of Nikiski; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were made through Valley Funeral Home and Crematory, Wasilla Chapel.
