Kasilof musher Lance Mackey hugs his lead dog Larry after winning his second consecutive Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race on Tuesday night. Mackey, who jeopardized the victory by taking a wrong turn, said Larry tried to guide his team down the right trail, but he called him off of the turn. “He’s amazing,” Mackey said of his leader.
