Miracles to be discussed

A Course In Miracles study group will be held at Kaladi's (Safeway parking area) group room Mondays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Call 262-2304 for more information.

Little League clinics continue

Kenai Little League will host indoor clinics at Kenai Middle School on Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. The clinic is for youth ages 9 years old and up. Clinics will meet through March except when school is not in session or canceled.

Agility class offered

A beginning dog agility class will be held starting Tuesday at the Kenai Kennel Club at Mile 14.5 of Kalifornsky Beach Road. Agility is sport where a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course.

Dogs must be at least 6 months old and able to do basic obedience commands, such as sit, down and stay. For more information or to sign up for the class, call 283-7515.

Oilers baseball celebration slated

The Peninsula Oilers Baseball team will bring back the Oilers Gusher baseball celebration, as well as holding a Hall of Fame Induction. The event will be held Saturday at the Kenai Mall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $100 for two. Dinner will be steak and chicken. Grand prizes are a Honda MUV (multipurpose utility vehicle) side-by-side valued at more than $12,000, as well as a womans' bracelet valued at $10,000. Door prizes are also planned.

AFS dinner fundraiser set

The 30th annual AFS gourmet dinner fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Catholic Church in Kenai. Tickets are available at River City Books and from AFS members. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children 14 years old and under.

This is a fundraiser for Kenai Peninsula students wishing to go abroad on a student exchange with the AFS program and for families hosting AFS students here.

There will be fine dining, and entertainment by the AFS students who are here on exchange.

FCS board members to meet

Frontier Community Services will hold its annual board of director's meeting from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 4 at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska.

Election of officers will be held, agency director's will report on the status of individual programs and employees will be recognized for their years of service. Dinner will be provided courtesy of the FCS Day Habilitation and Vocational program.
