The Cook Inlet Academy girls basketball team notched a 47-29 victory over host Ninilchik on Monday in Peninsula Conference action.
CIA led 30-21 after three quarters. The Eagles closed the door by outscoring the Wolverines 17-8 in the final eight minutes.
The game saw balanced scoring from both teams. Keely Powers was the game's leading scorer with 10 points, while Tiffany Smith added nine for CIA. For the Wolverines, Michelle Bartolowits and Esther Ehlers each had nine points.
The boys game was in progress as the Clarion went to press.
