JUNEAU (AP) -- The House voted Friday to let the Joint Legislative Salmon Industry Task Force keep working for another year.
The task force was set up last year to try to find solutions for the struggling salmon industry in Alaska.
Task force members came up with a number of proposals, including more state funding for marketing, but determined in January they needed more time to work on additional proposals.
The House voted 33-0 to keep the group working until the end of next year's legislative session.
House Concurrent Resolution 6 now goes to the Senate for consideration.
