Congratulations to the seventh- and eighth-grade battle of the books team. The school placed second in the state. The team members were Maya Johnson, Vanessa Dukowitz, Molly Watkins, Kirsten Lawrence and Devon Cowans.

Congratulations to Kendra Dukowitz and Zack Moore for winning the Character Counts pizza drawing last week. They each received a pizza for lunch.

The school is having a Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart contests. If the school raises at least $1,000, Mrs. Zorbas will dye her hair pink. The deadline is Friday.

Leadership is sponsoring a fund-raiser for leukemia called Pennies for Patients. The fund-raiser is to raise money for leukemia and other blood cancer research. This fund-raiser continues through March 4. Students are encouraged to drop small change in the can in the office.
