Classes are learning about dental care and and doing activities focusing on taking good care of their teeth. They also have been making food pyramids, talking about healthy snacks and the Iditarod.

The Salmon and Whales classes have been talking about ways they can keep their hearts healthy. Judy DeVito, guest speaker, spoke about healthy hearts and played a game where children were the body, heart and lungs. The children passed a ball from the body to the heart to the lungs, showing how the heart was the central organ in the body. They also tried to feel their pulse in their ankles, necks and chest.
