The staff would like to welcome Tony Jackson to the teaching staff. He is teaching seventh- and eighth-grade history and science, and ninth-grade Bible studies. Jackson is from Nikiski, has four children, and his wife, Leah, is a CIA alumni.

The History Fair is March 15. Parents are reminded to review their child's rubric and note deadlines.

Students of the Week are Julie Litchfield for responsibility in the classroom; Emily Pugmire, for being quick to obey; Kelsey Brush, for excellent preparation for the speech meet; Joe Murphy, for excellent choices when lining up; Emma Lyons, for being a great helper; Madison Orth, for always doing her best; and Bethany Estes, for enthusiasm in reading.

The staff would like to thank the junior varsity girls' coach Roy McNutt and assistant coach Chuck Gibbons, as well as the junior varsity boys' coaches Rick and Steve Musgrove.

The next varsity basketball games are March 5 against Ninilchik at the school and March 6 in Homer against Homer Christian School.

There will be no school March 22 to 26 for spring break.
