Former Kenai resident Mary Louise Hunter died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, in Juneau. She was 40.
Because she loved Alaska, her ashes will be spread over a favorite place at a later date.
She was born Dec. 8, 1961, in Oxnard, Calif. She had lived in Alaska since the late 1980s and was a resident of Douglas at the time of her death.
"She was a very sensitive, caring and generous person. She had accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and is now in heaven helping him to watch over her three sons, whom she loves very much," a family friend said.
"In memory of Mary, please hug your loved ones tightly or at least call or write and let them know how much you love them."
Ms. Hunter is survived by her parents, Charles and Lorraine Hunter of Hayward, Calif.; four sisters; one brother; and sons Zack, Johnny and Harley.
