Pilot makes emergency landing on Southeast beach

JUNEAU (AP) -- A Cessna 207 on a flight from Juneau to Hoonah made an emergency landing on a beach in Funter Bay shortly after noon Saturday, Alaska State Troopers said.
Troopers say the pilot, Ben Nygren, 28, of Juneau, and passengers Ingrid Boettcher, 36, and Thomas Botts, 47, of Hoonah, were not injured in the incident.
The plane, operated by Wings, apparently developed mechanical problems, troopers said. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
