ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Six people were injured when a pickup truck ran a red light in Anchorage and crashed into another pickup truck, police said.

A Chevy S-10 ran the red light at Spenard Road and Benson Boulevard and collided with another pickup about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The six injured people were all in the S-10, including three people who were riding in the back.

Summer White, 18, and Stormie Shell, 16, suffered serious injuries and were taken to Alaska Native Medical Center, according to officer Paul Padgett. The four others, whose names weren't available, were taken to Alaska Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

White, who is pregnant, was ejected from the camper after the canopy came off as a result of the impact.
