Tourism, Internet marketing workshop today
The Small Business Development Center and the Kenai Convention and Visitors Bureau is sponsoring a tourism and Internet marketing workshop 3 p.m. today at the Kenai visitors center. Charlene Spadafore Vassar of the Alaska Travel Industry Association will be the guest speaker for marketing. Community council to meet Friday
The North Peninsula Community Council will hold its next regular meeting 7 p.m. Friday at the Nikiski Senior Center. All residents of the north peninsula are invited. Coalition to discuss fishery management
The Kenai Peninsula Resource Management Coalition will hold a public meeting 5 p.m. Thursday at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association building. The topic of discussion will be fishery resource management on the Kenai Peninsula and recent Board of Fisheries actions. The public is invited to attend. Restoration video to air
The Youth Restoration Corps 2001 video will air March 3 at 3:30 p.m. on KIMO-TV. The half-hour program demonstrates YRC's community restoration project entitled, "Bringing the Nation to Alaska." For more information, call YRC director Kelly Wolf at 262-1032.
Forum to discuss grant funding
The Kenai Peninsula Borough Division of Community and Economic Development and the Kenai Peninsula Small Business Development Center are presenting a grant funding forum beginning at noon Friday at the Kenai Merit Inn.
Bob Poe, director of the Alaska Industrial Economic Development Association will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon. Representatives from various funding agencies will be on hand to make presentations and for round table discussions on funding options beginning at 1:30 p.m. There is a $12 fee for the luncheon; otherwise, the forum is free of charge. Skinning clinic planned
The monthly Safari Club International membership meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. March 5 at John's Bow Shop on Kalifornsky Beach Road.
