Students don't want to lose Russian classes

We are very disappointed about the school district's plan to cut our

Russian classes. Ms. Bobek's fifth-grade class at Soldotna Elementary takes Russian classes.

Our Russian teachers are Lela Wiley and Kristin Gehbhart from Skyview High School. Our school has been taking Russian classes from high school students for more than two years.

We enjoy the Russian classes because we like knowing about other languages. If they cut this from our schools, then where will we learn about the Russian language?

We think knowing different languages is important to every child.

Thank you.

Teslin Hughes, representing the sudents in Ms. Bobek's fifth-grade class Soldotna Elementary School
